Contemporary art show
Initiated in 2016 by Thomas Hug under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco,artmonte-carlo is a leading artistic platform for contemporary art, modern art and design. The fair has established itself over the years as the leading international art market event on the French Riviera.artmonte-carlo was established following the success of artgenève, whose 10th edition will be celebrated at the end of January 2022 at Palexpo Geneva.
artmonte-carlo presents each year about fifty carefully selected international galleries, including dealers loyal to the fair such as Gagosian, Pace, Victoria Miro, White Cube, Franco Noero, Almine Rech, Perrotin, Tornabuoni Art, Continua, Mitterrand and De Jonckheere. A rich program of institutional exhibitions is presented alongside the gallery program, fostering a rich dialogue between the art market and the institutional world. Private collections and the region's heritage are also highlighted within the exhibition.
The next edition of the fair will mark its 5th anniversary and will take place from the 15th to 17th of July 2021 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco.
In 2021, artmonte-carlo will present an even more exclusive and original format with a selection of prestigious contemporary galleries including Hauser & Wirth, PACE, White Cube, kamel mennour, Perrotin, Air de Paris, Almine Rech, Esther Schipper and Carpenters Workshop, as well as modern and antique art dealers such as Dickinson, Waddington Custot, Mazzoleni, Thomas Gibson Fine Art, Robilant + Voena and Moretti Fine Art.
A monumental installation by artist Otto Piene will be presented on the Esplanade of the Grimaldi Forum, in collaboration with Berlin gallery Sprüth Magers. A new section of the show will feature high-end jewelry brands.
