This show for actors and puppets takes us aboard the Nautilus, a legendary vessel that is part sea monster, part high-tech ship commanded by Captain Nemo. We meet up with the characters from Jules Verne's novel: Professor Aronnax and his faithful servant Conseil, who, before being shipwrecked and taken prisoner by Nemo, had set off in pursuit of the famous giant narwhal aboard the Abraham-Lincoln, alongside harpooner Ned Land. Captain Nemo, a veritable modern pirate, takes them on a round-the-world voyage through the oceans, where scientific experimentation mingles with the poetry of the deep. The actors, accompanied by a troupe of fish, take us on a journey to the heart of this monument to literature.
20 000 lieues sous les mers was awarded the Molière for visual creation in 2016 and the 2016 Critics' Prize for best scenic element.
